WINE COUNTRY
Documentary Wine Photography | People & Process
Born in the heart of Friuli Venezia Giulia, one of Italy's most celebrated wine regions, my teenage years were marked by a deep passion for track and field. Like most kids from the area, summers and harvest season meant heading out to the vineyards or the cellars, picking grapes, doing whatever work was needed. A rite of passage that put a little money in your pocket and the smell of fermenting wine in your memory forever.
Friuli's extraordinary winemaking heritage quietly shaped my eye and my soul. I began capturing what I loved most: the misty morning light over ancient vines, the weathered faces of passionate producers, and the breathtaking landscapes where Alpine peaks dissolve into rolling hillside vineyards before reaching the shimmering shores of the Adriatic, making this corner of Italy truly like no other.
That same passion and curiosity eventually carried me across the ocean to California, where a whole new wine story was waiting to be told. Here, among rolling hills and sun-warmed cellars, I continue doing what I have always loved, listening to the land, and telling its stories through my lens.
