Case Study | DJ Gareth Emery
My collaboration with Gareth Emery started in 2014, when we shot the album cover for Drive in the Mojave Desert in California. The concept drew from Gareth’s coast‑to‑coast road trip with his wife: the desert's colors, the endless skies and the isolation of the landscape naturally blended with a vintage American road‑trip aesthetic.
For his next album, Analog, we pushed that spirit even further at Four Aces Movie Ranch, a classic Route 66–style diner set in the desert outside Los Angeles. The location gave us exactly what we were looking for: a raw, contrasty visual language that feels both nostalgic and cinematic, perfectly in tune with the mood of the record.
